AUTUMN COLLOQUIUM
NOVEMBER 8th and 9th
Call for Papers
The Binational Association of Communication Schools (BINACOM) is inviting professors, researchers, graduate students, and professionals to present their research, intervention, and media production projects, whether in progress or completed.
This event aims to provide a platform for peer-to-peer dialogue. At least one of the authors must attend the Colloquium to present and discuss their work.
Projects can be submitted in two categories:
A. Research (media, organizational, political, or cultural, among others): Research projects linked to communication sciences may be final reports, ongoing research progress, or research protocols. Register at https://forms.gle/utmAVeXMGXNCexvWA and include a summary of 200 to 350 words.
B. Creative products: Completed or ongoing communication productions, or pre-productions of various communication projects such as audiovisual, audio, photography, web design, graphic design, or journalism. The works must be exclusively digital and registered at https://forms.gle/utmAVeXMGXNCexvWA, including a summary of 250-350 words explaining the project. For submissions in these categories:
– Photograph: Submit in .jpg or .png format, 150-300 dpi, and 1 Mb maximum.
– Audiovisual or multimedia productions: Submit in .mp4, .mov, or H.264 format, preferably not exceeding 10 minutes.
– Audio: Submit in .mp3, .aif, or .wav format, preferably no longer than 10 minutes.
– Journalism: Submit written works in .pdf or .jpg format, or provide a URL link.
– Web design: Provide the project URL.
Acceptance:
Deadline for submissions: October 25th
The selection committee will notify about the acceptance of projects by Friday, October 31, 2024.
Participation:
No online participation is allowed this time.
Authors can design presentation supports and should consider the conditions set by the committee to ensure equal opportunity for presentation and plenary feedback for each proposal.
